Webinar: What Happened to Evangelicalism?

Evangelicalism began nearly 300 years ago and had roots reaching back even earlier. Today, we are living through its collapse. Class divisions among evangelicals and social conflict in America have revealed fractures in the movement that seem incurable. How did evangelicalism, which seemed so deeply embedded in American culture just a few decades ago, come to this?

Not surprisingly, the answer is found in the history of evangelicalism as well as the worldview of evangelicals.

In this webinar, historian and worldview specialist Glenn Sunshine will explain the origins and distinctives of evangelicalism and cover a few key turning points in its history. From there, he will look at the worldview of evangelical churches as revealed by what they do rather than what they say. He will then outline a way forward based on a more thoroughly biblical worldview backed up with action.

    I just watched the Zoom meeting recording from last week, where you participated with a Colson Fellows Group. I really enjoyed your comments. I completed the Colson Fellows Program in May of this year, and read your book that is part of the curriculum. I enjoyed it, and bought a copy to pass around to friends.

    After listening to the Zoom meeting this morning, I visited your web site. Obviously I missed the July 1 webinar “What Happened to Evangelism”, but am wondering if it is accessible now.
